"Pipes content"

Question:

"what happens if water pipes contain only 50% copper? I understand the international standard for copper content is much higher. The content are as follows: Copper: 57.008, Zinc: 40.17, Lead: 1.964, Tin: 0.381. What are the health implications of the type of pipe as specfied above? Would it be vulnerable to corrosion?"

Answer:

We know of no regulatory health restrictions on your stated alloy, based on its composition. Regarding its corrosion tendency, it would depend on the environment.
